Bio
_ Meghan McCoy grew up in Wisconsin, where she received her BFA in Dance from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and then packed up and moved to New York City. She graduated in May 2009 with an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College.
She currently performs with Becky Radway Dance Projects and has had the pleasure of performing with iN.D.dance/Nicole Durfee and Dancers, Nora Stephens/noranewdance, Jin-Wen Yu Dance, Eve Dean Dance, Esse Aficionado, and Katherine Keifer Stark. Her works have been presented at DanceNOW(NYC), 92nd Street Y - Fridays at Noon, Dance Conversations @ the Flea, Dumbo Dance Festival, Solar One Dance Series, Take Root at Greenspace, Depot Dances, and the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
Meghan loves teaching children of all ages. She was most recently on faculty at Discovery Programs on the Upper West Side, Educational Alliance After Three Arts Youth Development Program on the Lower East Side, and at Dancewave in Brooklyn. She has also taught for The Brooklyn Music School, P.S. 1 in Yonkers, Enrico Fermi School in Yonkers, Goucher College and Sarah Lawrence College. A recent transplant to Austin, TX, she is eager to jump into the dance community here.
